Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 7, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how AuditVolt ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the AuditVolt Google Sheets add-on ("Service").
1. Information We Collect
Spreadsheet Data: When you use AuditVolt, the add-on reads data from your currently selected cells or specified ranges in Google Sheets. This data is sent to our backend server for processing by AI language models.
Google Account Information: We access your Google account email address for authentication purposes through Google's OAuth system. We do not store your Google credentials.
Usage Data: We may collect basic usage information such as feature usage patterns and error logs to improve the Service.
2. How We Use Your Data
- AI Processing: Selected spreadsheet data is sent to our backend, which forwards it to third-party LLM providers (via OpenRouter) to generate AI responses. This data is used solely to fulfill your request and is not used to train AI models.
- Service Operation: Google account information is used to authenticate your access to the Service.
- Service Improvement: Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be used to improve the Service.
3. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on the following third-party services:
- Google Workspace APIs: To read and write data in your Google Sheets.
- OpenRouter: As an API gateway to route requests to various LLM providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and others). Data sent to OpenRouter is subject to their privacy policy.
- Cloudflare: For hosting and content delivery.
4. Data Retention
We do not permanently store your spreadsheet data. Data is transmitted to AI providers in real time to process your requests and is not retained after the response is delivered. Temporary logs may be kept for up to 30 days for debugging and error resolution purposes.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- OAuth 2.0 for authentication with Google services
- Minimal data collection — we only process data necessary to fulfill your requests
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Revoke Access: You can revoke AuditVolt's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions.
- Uninstall: You can uninstall the add-on from Google Sheets at any time.
- Request Information: You can contact us to ask what data, if any, we have associated with your account.
- Request Deletion: You can request deletion of any data we may have associated with your account.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
